After doing the valve work on the 2005 Honda Pilot I had drained and refilled the oil without changing the filter. My intention was to drive the Honda Pilot for about 1500km, to move some the new oil around and pick-up any contamination from, and then complete the full oil and filter change. Since I have met my criteria I am now changing both the oil and the filter. This job can be done in as little as 30 minutes and will save you about $20 from going to the dealership.
Tools Required:
Socket Set with a 17 mm Socket;
Oil drip pan;
4.73L of 5 W20 Oil;
A new Oil filter;
Shop Towels; Gloves;
A funnel; and
A new drain plug or drain plug washer.
