2005 Honda Pilot Brake Fluid Change

I’m still playing catch-up on all of the maintenance work on my Honda Pilot now that it is up and running again. In this video I do a brake fluid change. This was a pretty easy process on this vehicle, however, due to the proximity of the wheels to the brake bleeding screw, I found it almost mandatory to remove the tires to fit the brake bleeding kit in place. The cost savings over having this done at the dealership was fairly significant with an overall savings of about $100.

Tools required:
2 Litres of Dot 4 brake fluid (Dot 3 can also be used);
Liquid Wrench (everything on this vehicle is rusty);
10 mm wrench;
Brake bleeding kit;
Gloves;
Paper towel;
Drip pan; and
Small funnel.

Cheers
