I was just cleaning the junk drawer and found my broken key FOB for my 2005 Honda Pilot. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to show how I used the old FOB to make the new FOB fully functional without paying for dealership programming. The only tool that is required is a small flat head screwdriver.
Generally, the cost of the immobilizer programming is fairly high, so if you have a broken key you can use the transponder from the old key, and put it into the new key.
