After conducting some research on the required tools and I decided to take on a front and rear differential fluid change in my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. Overall the job was very easy and only requires about an hour to complete. The cost savings when doing this job as a DIY project over taking it to a dealership for the work is also significant.
Tools Required:
– Shop Towels
– Hand pump
– 10 mm Hex bit or Allen key
– Standard socket wrench
– Torque wrench (prefered)
– High temp thread sealant (optional)
– 75W-90 synthetic oil (rear, Nissan brand recommended)
– 80W-90 (front, dealership recommended Pennzoil)
– 4 x Washers
– Drip Pan
– Oil-proof gloves
Cheers
