2005 Honda Pilot Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Sadly the new Engine Coolant Temperature sensor a bought for about $5.00 did not last more than a few months and my check engine warning light came on as well as the VTM 4 light. Additionally, the engine temperature gauge stopped working. Overall the repair was simple and only required a new ECT to get everything working properly. The cost to do this was about $55 with a part from Part Source. Honda charges $65 for the part and quoted me an hour for labour at $145 an hour. Doing this yourself is a very feasible DIY project. and can save $150 for about 5 minutes of work.

Cheers
