WASHING MACHINE WATER HAMMER ARRESTOR

Water hammer and noisy plumbing sucks. These water hammer arrestors were fully capable of eliminating all water hammer noise from my washing machine. It’s not a whole house solution, but it will do the facets within 6 feet of the arrestor.

It is recommended to get two, one for the hot and one for the cold line.
The threaded ends should tie into your washing machine and inlet hoses and are installed just like a garden hose...very easy
Don't disconect the hoses from the washer until the water is turned off
Turn off both taps
I use teflon tape on all threaded plumbing
Remove one of the inpet hoses from the washer
Teflon tape the threaded portion of the washing machine threaded attachments
Screw in the water hammer arrestor to the washer and use channel locks to tighten it up the last half turn
Install the inlet hose to the water hammer arrestor, again give it that extra half turn with channel locks
Install the second water hammer arrestor with teflon tape
Attach the other water hose to the water hammer arrestor
Turn on the cold water
Turn on the hot water
Check for leaks periodically
Run a load of laundry and look for leaks and listen to ensure the water hammer is gone
