You can live with a dryer door attached on the wrong side….but why would you want to? Taking the 20 minutes required to reverse the door on your dryer will be one of the most satisfying DIY jobs that you can do. This can be done with some very basic hand tools by pretty much anyone that can turn a screwdriver and a wrench

The pain of a reversed dryer door is immeasurable
Remove the bolts holding on the door hinges
Remove the door hinge cover
Transfer the hinge cover to the side that the door was removed from
Remove the door catch cover
Remove the door catch
Install the door catch cover on the opposite side
Install the door catch on the opposite side
With the door laying on a surface that will not scratch it, remove all the screws. Take note of any screws that are of a different size
With the door separated, transfer the door strike to the opposite side
Transfer the door hinges to the opposite side
Transfer any additional accessory pieces
Put the door back together and replace all of the screws
Hang the door on the opposite side and replace the bolts
Close the door and give the dryer a test run
