OVEN GLASS CLEANING

Cleaning oven glass is pretty easy. It also makes the oven look a lot better. It won’t make you a better cook though…Sorry.

Before starting get your cleaning products ready
For the meter stick method you need to take off the door, most doors should have a lock on the hinges that needs to be unlocked
The door can be very heavy. Be careful when removing. You should have a towel down on the floor to set the door on
Put some paper towel on a meter stick and secure it with tape. Then spray on some glass cleaner
Slide in the cleaning apparatus and scrub away. There may be more than 2 panes of glass
You may need to put a cleaner free towel on after cleaning to dry off the cleaner
Put the door back on the hinges
Lock both of the hinges to secure the door
Method 2 involves taking the door apart. I use a torx driver
Remove the screws that hold your door together
Hold the lower portion of the door so that it doesn't drop as you remove the final screw
Be careful with the lower half....mine was floppy
Clean the first pane of glass
You may have a third pane like I did
The inner pane is also likely secured in place with screws. Have a towel ready to set it on when it is removed
Remove the inner pane and set it down on a towel
Spray down the inner pane with cleaner
Wipe it clean
Clean the centre pane on each side
Replace the centre pane
Fasten it in place with the screws you had removed
Put the door back together with the screws that you had removed
Take a moment to celebrate your small victory
