DRYER OUTLET REPLACEMENT

BEFORE
AFTER

Since I had just pulled out the old washer and dryer it became apparent that the old dryer outlet needed to be replaced as it was filled with dryer lint and had been completely painted over by the previous owners. (never paint over outlets…..respect yourself) The new outlet was less than $10 Canadian at Lowes, but they are really available anywhere. This job took me less than 30 minutes to complete and was overall pretty straight forward. Just remember you MUST know and follow the electrical codes in your area as they will be different everywhere. Further, if you know very little about residential electrical systems you should really hire a professional to do the work.
