WIRELESS DOORBELL

Switching over to a wireless doorbell is a quick and easy process. It requires only about one hour. If you already have a wired doorbell ensure that you know how to remove any of the existing wiring and how the electrical components are wired. You may need an electrician to help you remove the only doorbell safely.

Pick out the doorbell and remotes that you want for your house
Some take batteries, while others can be charged via USB. Select the one that you want
You should be able to test the door bell functions once it has batteries installed
Put the battery in the doorbell remotes
Each type of doorbell should have a learn process to synch the remote with the actual bell. For this model the sound and LED glow can be set for each remote
TURN OFF POWER TO THE OLD BELL. Consider an electrician. Unscrew the onld doorbell remote
I ended up capping off the old wires
Screw the remote mounting bracket in place. I used the old holes
Attach the remote to the mounting bracket
If there was no door bell before, you may need to drill some pilot holes
Remove the old door bell and cap off the wires (again you may need an electrician)
Drill some drywall anchor holes and insert the drywall anchors
Attached the mounting bracket to the wall
You may need to fix the paint later
Attach the door chime to the mounting bracket and give everything a test
