WALL MOUNTED TV INSTALLATION

Nothing is sadder than a TV that isn’t mounted properly on the wall. If its not at the right height, and properly levelled you will regret almost every decision that you’ve made leading up to the moment that you sat down to watch TV on your ill hung unit. Fortunately getting the TV up on the wall is relatively  simple and can be done with a few basic hand tools.

The first step is the most important. Buy the correct mount for your TV
Before starting make sure all of the parts are in the box for your specific TV. Although they are universal fit....sometimes they are not
Mount all brackets on the TV IAW manual from the box
Figure out where you want the TV to sit on the wall
Use a level to ensure that it isnt off kilter
Use a stud finder or the "drill a bunch of hole method" shown here to find the studs behind the drywall
Install the lag bolts into the wall studs
Figure out your cable management. Going behind the wall be less distracting if you can do it
Hang the TV carefull on the wall and get ready to bask in the glory of your efforts
