REMODEL BOX INSTALLATION

There are times that you may need to install a junction / device box in a location where there are no studs available to tie your device box into. In such a case an item like this remodel box might be good to provide you a device box when you would other wise be unable to add a device box into your project.

There may be times that studs are not available to fasten your device box to, an old work device box may solve your issue
The old work device box comes with a template that ensures that the dry wall is cut out properly
Its important that you properly mark out the centre of your template on the wall, then line up the template and trace it out
Use a utility knife to cut out the area that you have marked out with the template
The device boxs has two wings situated on each side of the box that grip the dry wall from the front and the back. The wings operate with a single screw driver
You can see how the screw will cause the wing to tighten as you turn the screw
With the device box wings tucked in the device boxs slides easily into position
Once the device box is in position simply turn the screws until they tighten and pinch the drywall
This is what the device box looks like once installed in the wall
Finally with a simple utility light attached.
